There is NOTHING- and I mean Nothing- that I would not do to keep my children safe and happy. Nothing. I would do anything. I would even bare a secret love child of Rush Limbaugh. Ewww. I would do it, though, for them. I have 4 young kids, and, am a mother before I am ANYTHING else. I would give up everything to assure their safety. No question.

Luckily, I haven't had to, and, as a Christian it would be difficult for me to do a lot of these things, but, in reality, if I looked at my starving child, I think little else would matter.

I would sacrifice a lot for my family, but I wouldn't commit crimes. I'm a role model, and I want my son to be proud of me. I have left the state that my family was in for a job. I've not left the country. I've never robbed, s tolen or gone on public assistance. I have worked menial jobs and I have worked my way to the top.

It can be done. I grew up in a trailer in the country in south Georgia. I picked cotton. I gathered pecans. I started as an entry clerk when I got my first office job. Today I am a top executive in a large company.

Is there an actual question here or are you trying to make a point in a passive-aggressive kind of way?

Was I ever "that" desperate? No. Perhaps it was because I made good choices, had a little bit of luck and I didn't screw it up. I never had children until I could provide a real home, food and shelter for starters.

I would definitely move to another country to get a better job if necessary. I am an American, but I am not going to stay here at all costs. While its unlikely I would be in such a situation since I am studying to be a lawyer, I would not think twice about moving to another nation if I could make more money.

Lets say a lawyer could make more in Canada. I would take the necessary courses to get qualified in Canada and move there.

I would do everything else also.

Is it sacrificing to steal to feed them? Isn't it the people you are stealing from who are making the sacrifice for your family, unwanted, at the expense of their own?

Does being desperate make taking from others what they need as well all right?

If I lived in Mexico, I wouldn't have any kids. People have to remember that becoming pregnant and having kids is a choice not an unforeseen disease. The people of Mexico are very aware of the living situation yet they keep having kids like somehow that's going to get them out of the hole. I wouldn't have kids and then subject them to a possible death in the desert. And unexpected things do happen in life, but subjecting your family to a life of crime in the United States (you know identity theft, and so on) is a thought out choice that shouldn't be rewarded.

I've been through desperation and hell. I understand what you're asking but I still have to say, I always found a way and the idea of breaking the law didn't cross my mind while problem solving. That is just me. Would I break every law under the sun if that was my ONLY option to save my children...you bet. In a heartbeat...there is always another option though.

I have moved many times because of my job, but I've stayed within the law.

Sounds like you should have prepared better financially before having a family.

Would you lead your family into the prison system? What about into hell?

Stupid question to ask in the immigration section. Are you saying that there's justification for illegal aliens if they have kids? Because children don't justify crime. If you believe that I hope someone nice adopts your children when you go to the pen.
