To catch someone from speeding, yea I'd say that is fair. As a paramedic I spend far too much time scraping teenage brain from the pavement because some highschhol hero thought he was 2 Fast 2 Furious, and more often than not he crashes into another vehicle and takes some more innocent lives with him, so I think it's totally worth it to have cops watch for irresponsible drivers.

No they are never complely following there own rules. In the are I live, I know many of spots they like to hide to catch people. No have not been pulled over that many time, others told me or they were not hiding that well and spotted them.
I know some people who stood up for a state trooper wrongly accusig them, and theier family, and last I spoke to them the case is on its way to the states highest court. Kept on telling them to become lawyers from all they are learning about the law!!

The Police never play by the rules completely. They can pull you over for no reason and just say you did something wrong. They will show up to court and be an expert witness against you. Not everything is fair.

it's not a question of playing fair. It's a question of stopping illegal or dangerous behaviour. Ever notice how everyone suddenly slows down and does the speed limit when they see a cop, but as soon as he is out of sight, they speed up again? That's why we do it.

Sure it's fair. Most of the time, the squad car is not completely hidden - the lights are just off. Don't treat the highways like your personal speedway and you won't have to worry about "being caught".

is it right for someone to speed? No its not. so let the cops do what ever it takes to catch any law breakers. Drive right and don't worry about the cops they don't want the people doing right.

Speeding isn't a game - it can kill. If people didn't speed then we wouldn't have to 'hide' during speed detection....I will admit I've seen images of a cop hiding behind a stobie pole and pinch speeders - it looks stupid to me - I wouldn't go that far.

Just flipped through my rule book.
Yes we can "hide" from law breakers in order to catch them. It would be stupid to make us advertise our presence.
