Is that so bad? I don't think I am that fat. Well a lady said to me when she meet me "Oh you are that pretty chubby girl I have heard about." My husband calles me Lard @$$. My brother told me not to go into one of those all you can eat buffets because they would hide the food. Am I really that over weight?

I dont think you should listen to those kind of coments. If you feel good about your self you should not pay attention to that.

Let them talk. Try not to let their words bother you. What is 10 stupid pounds anyway! To much is place on peoples weight. One good fat burner and those Skinny Minnie's are history!LOL! I have always thought that a little chubby is healthier! And looks healthier that stick thin! Don't start dieting because this could be the start of the yo-yo syndrome. And you could end up with a life long problem. Tell your husband to stop it with the lard @$$ remarks! Tell him that his words hurt.Truly! 130lbs is not bad at all! Don't start dieting!

Your BMI is 22 and 19 to 25 is normal. Above 24 is overweight. This is by the book but I think a BMI of 19 is ideal. If you lost 20 pounds you would still be normal but would look better. But it is totally up to you. If you want people to refer to you as the thin [and healthy] woman see the site below.

It's unfortunate that your closest friends and family are having issues with your figure through jokes, much less at all, especially your husband.

I would suggest addressing it with them individually, and letting them know it upsets you.

I would suggest telling them that you are happy and feel great about life, and ask them why they have an issue with your figure?

And if they want you to lose weight... then tough luck, you'll weigh whatever the hell you wanna weigh, and they should concentrate on their own lives, or figure, and worry less about your's!

5'4 and 130 isn't bad! We all are shaped differently. There is no pre-determined height/weight requirement to have friends and family that care about you!

Believe in yourself. If you want to lose weight then do it. If you're happy the way you are, then just be happy, and tell everyone who objects to mind their own business.

at 5'4" and 130, you are about 10 lbs over normal. Whoo hoo, if that's the worst thing that ever happens to you, you got it made!!! ;0)
Telll the lady that made the stupid comment that you might be 10 lbs over, but she is ugly and you can lose 10 lbs!! tell your husband HE is the ***, then reconsider being with a jerk like that, and kick your brother in the shin and tell him to take a hike. Bottom line, are YOU happy with how you look? if so, ignore them. If not, lose a couple of pounds and make THEM look like the idiots they are.

No. You're probably fit enough that people still notice you have a nice body, and they blurt out these things to you because of the tension they feel between their learned standard of skinniness and their feeling that you actually look great. If they really thought you were corpulent I doubt they'd tease you. It'd be a risk of hurting you. If you still have a figure, a waistline, I don't think you should get all serious about it.

You don't sound over weight. I'm the same height as you and I'm 145 lbs and I'm not overweight.
I do have a pretty bad looking body shape that makes me look larger than I really am.
Your brother should be respecting you and your husband should love you for who you already are.

If you are comfortable with your weight and it is not causing any health problems, enjoy yourself. Might want to think about these people you marry, meet and happen to be related to. Seems they could use a small dose of common courtesy, or perhaps a good b-slap along side the head, often.

You are fine. Your hubby and bro are just teasing. Was that lady fat? I weigh the same as you . Same height and a friend used to say stuff like look who's getting a belly. She weighed like 250 and was the same height. Ignore them. Its a healthy weight.

You are still a healthy weight. You don't need to be with any husband who calls you that. That is ridiculous. If you are uncomfortable with yourself, do a little bit of cardio and weight training two to three times a week.
