“The Witnesses contradict almost every basic Christian teaching. And those they don’t contradict they usually ignore. They are fundamentally unitarians. A leaflet published from the London Office called What do Jehovah’s Witnesses Believe? tells us: "Since there are many ‘gods’ and many ‘lords’ the true God has a personal name to distinguish him from all other gods." The name is Jehovah. The truth is that there is only one God, and he certainly has not got a name to distinguish him from other "gods." Even the word "Jehovah" is not really biblical. The original writers of Holy Writ did not know it. In Hebrew they wrote "Yahweh" which means "He who is." It is an alternative name for God. The Witnesses claim that Jehovah is a personal name for God. It is very hard to decide exactly what the Witnesses mean by all this, but it seems that for them "Jehovah" is to "god" as "oak" is to "tree"—one among many but the best of the lot. The expression "Jehovah God" so commonly used by the Witnesses is nowhere found in the Bible.”

The issue here is not the person of the author. What is at issue here is whether the author is citing from a fictitious sources or not. Is he really citing from your own publication as he claims?

JW's hate it when you quote form their publications, and it exposes the contradictory and reverse prophecy of their company.

I don't think that they even read the questions or answers completely any more......

There has bee enough evidence provided to the witnesses that hang out in this forum for them to be seriously questioning their faith.....Yet as far as I can tell, none do....it is not gods will for them to see...should we stop proclaiming the Truth....No ...we never know what seeds are being planted.

Jehovah's Witnesses have self belief they're the only genuine witnesses and that Jehovah has been employing their agency as his sole channel of communication on the grounds that 1919. in the event that they're superb, then it skill that once the 1st century good up till the previous due 1800's whilst Charles Russell based the unique Bible scholars, there ought to no longer have been any genuine Christians. somewhat no Roman Catholic or Protestant ought to declare to be a real witness by way of fact they have been area of "fake faith" - Babylon the large. yet what approximately people including Raymundus Martini, the Dominican Monk who first penned the call Jehovah in 1270? actually, Jehovah replaced into employing him to repair the Divine call? And what approximately John Knox (Scottish Reformer), Jean Calvin (French Reformer), William Tyndale (martyred 1536 for translating the hot testomony from Greek into English), reformers Cranmer, Latimer and Ridley, burned on the stake and King James 6 of Scotland (who became King James a million of britain) and famously approved the translation of the Bible into cutting-element English in 1611 (4 hundred years in the past)? Yes we believe that Psalms 83 :18 tells the truth.....That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Not to mention all of the book of Ezekiel describes Jehovah's throne and heaven and angels...and says that everyone will come to know that Jehovah is God.
He constantly says and they will have to know that I am Jehovah their God.

What will Jesus do during his 1000 year kingdom?

Jehovah ´s witness preach that Jesus after Armageddon and destruction of evildoers, Satan and his demons will be "Jailed" for 1000 years in the mean time Jesus will rule the earth with a group redeemed from earth (Revelation 5:10, 14:1-5) will resurrect people (Acts 24:15 and John 5:28-29) will provide food and eliminate famines (Psalm 72:16) will restore the health of humans (Isaiah 35:5-6, 33:24) will eliminate the death and the cause of the death and suffering (Revelation 21:4) in resumen will transform the earth in a great place to live a "new earth" the original purpose of God with Adam and Eve before they sinned (Genesis 1:28) .
After 1000 years , Satan will be release and mankind will have a second test and after that Satan will be cast into the lake of fire (destroyed) and Jesus give the kingdom to his father (Jehovah) (1 Corithians 15:28)

Can you prove this is false, with the bible? are you preaching God´s kingdom?

Do you think Mr. Francis J. Ripley can show you if this is false?

Do you think Mr. Francis J. Ripley can show you where in the bible is the date of Jesus´s death? why every JWS know that?

It is simply ignorant to believe that the bible does not discuss and allude to such false gods as Baal, Marduk, Merodach, Anu, Enlil, Ea, Sin, Shamash, Ishtar, Tammuz, Labartu, Labasu, Akhkhazu, Nergal, Nebo, Belit, etcetera and so on.

The Divine Author saw fit to include His personal name nearly SEVEN THOUSAND TIMES in the bible, so it seems the height of human arrogance to suppose that was an accident by Almighty God. Jehovah's Witnesses do not pretend that "Jehovah" is the only acceptable spelling or pronunciation of "הוהי", and never have.

"The truth is that there is only one God..."

First, there is not one shred of evidence for the existence of any god or gods.

Second, according to the christian bible's ten commandments, there is more than one god:

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

There is no reason to say "put me first" unless there's some kind of competition going on. If, according to the christian bible, there is only one god, it would hardly make sense for that particular god to say that it should be more important than all the other gods.

jehovah is not a term that is unique to the witnesses. the bible was written in hebrew as you may recall and jehovah is a direct translation from that text.

By using LORD and not Yahweh for God’s name you can not come to know the only true God.

John 17: 3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God [theos singular], and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

(“Jehovah the special and significant name (not merely an appellative title such as Lord [adonai]) by which God revealed himself to the ancient Hebrews (Ex. 6:2, 3). “ “The Hebrew word Jehovah (q.v.), the only other word generally employed to denote the Supreme Being, is uniformly rendered in the Authorized Version by "LORD," printed in small capitals.” both from Easton’s Bible Dictionary.)

The Illustrated Bible Dictionary (Volume 1, page 572) states the following: “A study of the word ‘name’ in the O[ld] T[estament] reveals how much it means in Hebrew. The name is no mere label, but is significant of the real personality of him to whom it belongs.” (Volume 2, page 649) says: “One of the most fundamental and essential features of the biblical revelation is the fact that God is not without a name: he has a personal name, by which he can, and is to be, invoked.”

Eph 1:3,17 May the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ grant you wisdom.

(3:17That the God [theos, sing.] of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him)

Once again I ask, Why do you accept the word of someone who is not one of Jehovah's Witnesses? If I want to know what Baptists believe should I ask a Methodist? Do I ask someone of the Jewish religion what Catholics believe?

So why would I ask a Catholic priest what Jehovah's Witnesses believe?
