The belief in continuing revelation from God to modern prophets and that the canon of scripture is not closed. That the Godhead consists of three separate personages that are distinct. That God is a glorified man. That all men and women have a pre earthly existence as spirits in heaven and the Heavenly Father is the literal father of our spirits, we are begotten not created. That God, men, and angels are the same species. That men are saved by grace, and exalted by obedience. That man has the potential for Deification
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Sorry C. kid. Mormons do not believe that Jesus is the archangel Michael. That is the JWs. We believe that Jesus is Jehovah (YHWH, the eternal "I AM)", the Great Creator under the direction of the Heavenly Father. The God of the Old Testament who spoke to Abraham and Moses. The Firstborn. The "Only begotten in the Flesh" "The only name whereby man can be saved" The Great Redeemer, The Savior, the Messiah, The Holy One of Israel, Lord of Lords, etc. and etc. Oh and the idea that Lucifer is the spirit brother of Jehovah, well he is YOUR spirit brother too, but he got kicked out. You didn't or you wouldn't be here choosing to bash mormons or not.
Also, We DO NOT believe that Jesus is a "created being" we believe He is BEGOTTEN, the "FIRSTBORN among many brethren" (Romans 8:29) not created. And he is the ONLY BEGOTTEN IN THE FLESH, Mary was "overshadowed" not physically intimate, SHE WAS A VIRGIN WHEN JESUS WAS BORN, (do you read and believe your new Testament? Mormons do)

Mormons believe these things about God: that He has not always been the Supreme Being of the universe, but attained that status through righteous living and persistent effort. They believe God the Father has a “body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s.” Though abandoned by modern Mormon leaders, Brigham Young taught that Adam actually was God and the father of Jesus Christ. Christians know this about God: there is only One true God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10, 44:6-8), that He always has and always will exist (Deuteronomy 33:27, Psalm 90:2, 1 Timothy 1:17), and that He was not created, but is the Creator (Genesis chapter1, Psalm 24:1, Isaiah 37:16). He is perfect and no one else is equal to Him (Psalm 86:8, Isaiah 40:25). God the Father is not a man, nor was He ever (Numbers 23:19, 1 Samuel 15:29, Hosea 11:9). He is Spirit (John 4:24), and Spirit is not made of flesh and bone (Luke 24:39).
Mormons believe that there are different levels or kingdoms in the afterlife: The Celestial Kingdom, the Terrestrial Kingdom, the Telestial Kingdom and outer darkness. Where mankind will end up depends on what they believe and do in this mortal life. The Bible tells us that after death, we go to Heaven or Hell based on whether we had faith in Jesus or not. To be absent from our bodies as believers means we are with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:6-8). Unbelievers are sent to Hell, or the place of the dead (Luke 16:22-23). When Jesus comes for the second time, we will receive new bodies (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). There will be a New Heaven and New Earth for believers (Revelation 21:1), and unbelievers will be thrown into an everlasting lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15). There is no second chance for redemption after death (Hebrews 9:27).
Mormon leaders have taught that Jesus’ incarnation was the result of a physical relationship between God the Father and Mary. They believe Jesus is a God, but that any human can also become a god. Christians historically have taught that God is Triune and that He exists eternally as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). No one can achieve the status of God, only He is holy (1 Samuel 2:2)

As far as I know, the differences are this:
-Mormon men don't aim for heaven, the goal is to become their own God. For Mormon women, the ultimate after death life is being a cosmic wife of a God/former human male, eternally making babies with their husband/God.
-Jesus' death isn't enough to pay/cover a Mormon's sins, they have to do good works to make up the difference. In traditional Christianity, Jesus' death was all that was necessary.
-Mormons don't teach their new members everything, they start them out with a little "truth," then later on they teach them more, and more, until they have them believing all the whacked out stuff I mentioned above, and more.
There are probably more, but these are the ones I know!

Other Christians usually believe in the Trinity, whereas Mormons believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Ghost are three seperate individuals.
Mormons believe in life before birth. Other Christians usually believe that you do not live until you are born on this Earth.
Mormons believe that we are all God's children - brothers and sisters - you, me, Jesus, and even Satan. Yes, Satan. Other Christians aren't sure where Satan came from. Mormons believe that those who chose to follow Christ came to Earth while those who chose to follow Satan are with him.
Mormons believe that everyone will be judged for their own sins. Other Christians sometimes baptize newborns to wash aways the sins of their parents. Mormons believe that children are completely free of sin.
Other Christians usually believe that the next life consists of floating around on clouds and singing praises to God all day. Mormons believe that they can inherit everything that the Father has and become like unto Him.
Other Christians usually believe that marriage for this life only, i.e., until death do they part. Mormons who marry in their temple believe that marriage is eternal and families are forever.

Your question essentially asks for one thing, which I would argue is: Continuing Revelation.
There are clearly other things, but then again there are at least 35,000 different denominations/groups of Christians in the world, which means there are that many different ideas about what it means to be a Christian or what you should believe. (This number includes Mormons). [33% of the world are Christian].

Most Christians see the Bible as the only authority while Mormons see that and the Book of Mormon as authoritative.
Jesus Christ is a created being rather than an eternal being according to Mormons.
Also, on judgment day according to the LDS, everyone will have to stand before Elohim, the Mormon Jesus and Joseph Smith.

good day Mick, thank you for the variety question, and not attacking everybody in desirous to be responsive to. The King James version of the bible got here approximately in the 1600s while King James of england authorized a sparkling English translation. there have been many disputes and countless diverse variations of what the translations ought to be, so he directed that all of them make one version. Mormons use the King James Bible as area of their scripture. The e book of Mormon is yet another certainly one of their holy books that they use as a companion to the Bible. The subtitle is "yet another Testiment of Jesus Christ," which they believe provides to the testimony given in the Bible. diverse variations of the Bible right now contain present day language Bibles and issues like that. maximum Bibles have a similar recommendations in them, if there is any difference in words it particularly is in many circumstances because of the fact human beings believe the e book ought to have been translated otherwise, or that it grew to become into mistranslated. Sorry, i be responsive to no longer something of the Quaker Bible.

One can hardly consider a Mormon a Christian in the classic sense. Mormons reject the main beliefs of Christianity, namely the Trinity, which means that Jesus is the Son of God, not the archangel Michael. Mormons reject the seven sacraments (I know, so do the Protestants). Mormons reject the Apostolic Tradition. Some inventions of the Mormons, such as all become gods are completely foreign to the classic Christian beliefs. Christians don't traditionally wear any special underwear to protect them from evil spirits.

The crux of Christianity is that Jesus is God, a member of the Holy Trinity on level with and the same as God the Father and the Holy Spirit. The Mormons believe that Jesus was not God, but the Son of God, and brother to Satan. They also believe that our God is nothing more than a creature from another universe that lived a good enough life to create his own world to rule, and that we too can achieve that level.
