With school just around the corner, being pushed into classes when you don't remember a thing from last year is very stressful! Any ideas on how to get ready for school mind-wise?

If you kept any of your paperwork from last year, like tests, I would just read over some of them. Nothing hard core like retaking them or trying to see if you remember things, but just glance over them and read the questions and answers in your mind. It'll give you a bit of that "oh yeah, now I remember" feeling.

Second, start reading. If you read a lot but read fiction, try to pick something nonfiction or even a magazine or newspaper. Something in which you'd have to ask yourself questions. And try to read a bit of it once a day around the same time you'd be working on your homework usually during the school year.

Third thing, get your materials together and prepped. Set out your different subjects in binders. Get your pens and pencils ready. Make sure you have any of your usual online research resources still on your favorites.

Fourth, look online. I"m sure there are websites that have teaching guides or quizzes depending on your grade that might help.

Finally, don't sweat it. Nothing really monumental happens in that first week of school anyway :). You'll have time to adjust.

Now, don't be 'stressed' before school starts again. A positive attitude about what you have to do changes it from a chore to something enjoyable. Use your time off to rejuvenate and not think about school. I'm assuming you're a student. Unless you are behind in school, you don't need to review anything. If you truly learned last year's material, it will come back to you when you need to recall it with a little review. I say never stop learning though. Read something you enjoy every day (even during breaks), and learn about all you can in the world. Develop your interests - it makes you interesting. Make it a great year!

Just get a lot of rest and try to relax. That will make a smoother transition. Ty going to bed at the same time each night just like school so you get back into the schedule. And try reviewing material from last year, but oftentimes, your teacher will review stuff anyway, so don't worry

Go back and review some of the information you learned last school year (or quarter). Find a good book to read. This will get your brain geared up for new information---->teacher for 17 years
