Poor little thing!! Go get yourself some lavender oil and place a few drops onto a cotton ball and rub gently over affected areas .............. this will take out the sting quick smart and will help it to heal quicker!! Cheap and natural for sensitive little bodies such as ours.

Azaron (med name) works well, I don't know what the active ingredient is.

Another very interesting new gadget that works well (they sell it in stores around here = Western Europe) consists of an appr. 10cm long handle/stick with two small openings 1cm apart at one end (inside it are two ends of wire) and a button at the other end. Place the first end on the middle of the mozzy bite (dunno if it works for other insects, I seem to mostly get bit by those pesky mozzies) and press the button. Repeat three times. What it does is give you a miniscule electric shock. What you feel is like someone gave you a tiny prick with the sharp end of a needle (the thought of which made me hesitant to try, I'll admit, LOL, but I'm glad I did, 'cause it worked). I think how it works is that the electricity chemically alters the stuff the mozzy injected into you, so that it doesn't "work" anymore.

Good luck!

Greetz.

You can put aloe on them. Or they make special creams at drug stores that you can buy specifically for treating bug bites. The best advice is if you get a bug bite resist itching it! That is the reason they become big and red.

Calamine lotion works well. Baking soda or oatmeal might work well too. If you use the baking soda or oatmeal, take a little bit and put it in the palm of your hand, add a little bit of water until it makes a paste, then put it on the bug bites. You might also want to try Noxema or witch hazel, but I think the calamine or oatmeal is best.

The Benadryl itch stick works great - stops the itching for hours at a time and is clear so it's not like white or pink lotion on your bug bites... don't know if it makes them go away faster but it will help with itching, which helps you not scratch, which probably helps them go away faster naturally....

When I have bug bites, I put nail polish on them, clear works best. It keeps the oxygen from getting to the bites and therefore stops the itch and helps them to go away faster. Calamine Lotion also works

Hmm I really don't know about that. When I first read your question I thought it was like 2 or 3, but 8! If you really care so much about it, then just say you have something to do and you'll swim later. I would put some cream or lotion on it.

Old fashioned remedy:
Take some oatmeal and add a bit of water to make a paste, cover each bite with it until it dries. Wipe off with a wet cloth. You may have to repeat it a few times.
