4] make sure all makeup says non-comedogenic
5] drink about 1/2 gallon of water a day, take multivitamins with minerals
6] I'm 51, and my skin stays in good shape this way

try bioling a pot of water, then take it off the stove. Place your face over the pot of hot water as close as you can comfortably with a towel over your head, trapping the steam. This will unclog those pores. Clean your face well afterwards and splash with cold water to close the pores. Use moisturizer and sunscreen too.
Try the white Elmer's school glue on your face instead of pore strips. Does an equal job for 1/100th the price.

As an esthetician I would recommend seeing a skin care therapist and having a professional facial done. Don't panic and damage your skin by doing something drastic on your own. Your skin is delicate especially as it matures, trust a skin care specialist to help you and recommmend the proper products for home care.
Good luck!

i just found out this one method that u can EASILY do at home. all u need is ice and a few paper towels (depending on how much ice u put in it, fo example the more ice, the more paper towels, and longer it would take.) its really refreshing. wrap the ice in one paper towel at a time. so first time, put one paper towl. rub it on ur face until the ice water seeps through the paper towel. then, add another paper towl and do the same thing. keep doing it until all the ice has melted. add paper towles as needed.... GOOD LUCK.. (i think it works... it sorta worked for me... exspecially on a SUMMEr day)

Get rid of the mirror, it is distorting your self image. All you really need to clean you skin is soap and water.
