Can't uninstall Adobe Flash Player in Windows XP...?

I'm trying to upgrade my flash plugin to version 10, but I keep getting errors. When I try to uninstall version 9 through Add/Remove programs it doesn't do anything. Can anyone help?

I'm using Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2.

Where are you getting version 10 from? The newest version Adobe lists on their Web site is 9. If they did offer 10, version 9 would be automatically removed when installing 10.

You may be talking about Adobe Shockwave player 10.
