No.
Two sandwiches is probably only around 800 calories.
You'd be starving yourself and ruining your metabolism.

Depends what they're made up of. You need to meet all the serving requirements from each food group, as well as atleast 1200 calories.
In order to do this, these sandwiches would have to be something like:
1 Sandwich = (EAT TWO)
3 slices of bread
2 - 4 1/2 ounces meat (turkey, roast beef, ham, ect.)
1.5 - 5 cups vegetables (lettuce, cucumbers, olives, ect.)
1.5 - 5 cups fruit (im not sure how you're supposed to incorporate fruit into a sandwich)
2 - 3 ounces of dairy (cheese)

Definitely unhealthy-much better to eat 4 or 5 smaller meals throughout the course of the day, providing the body with a steady flow of nutrients.

Too much carbs and not enough fibre.
Eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and exercise. They will increase your metabolism rate and burn fats.
I eat 5 to 6 meals s day. I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
Details such as meals, recipes, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog

Strange as it sounds, going too low on calories is a common cause of getting stuck at your current weight despite dieting. Your body is designed to protect you from starvation during times of greatly reduced food availability, and when you eat too little, your body thinks it’s starving. To compensate, your metabolism will slow down considerably, making it very difficult (or impossible) for you to lose weight. In this state, your body will preferentially burn everything but your stored body fat. Eating too little poses other problems, such as nutritional deficiencies. On top of that, if you later eat more calories, your body is more likely to store these calories as fat, in preparation for a possible "famine" again in the future.
Your best bet is to aim for a weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week through combining a moderate calorie reduction with increased calorie expenditure through exercise. If all the info you entered during your program set-up is accurate, the recommended calorie range you received should be what you need to accomplish this healthy rate of weight loss.
Some people have problems eating enough calories when they go too low on fats—especially by always choosing low-fat or non-fat versions of common foods. So try to find some good sources of "healthy fats" (the monounsaturated fat in nuts, olive and canola oils, avocados, etc.), and foods high in Omega-3 fatty acids, like flaxseed, salmon, or tuna. Read SparkPeople’s Nutrition Reference Guide: Fats and Oils for more information on including healthy fats into your diet.

no, it isnt - you gain fat (increase body fat percentage) when depriving your body which needs at least 1200cal/day for basic functioning (like when you are in coma)
two meals a day will put it in starvation mode quick - your body will convert all you eat for storing in fat reserves and use muscle for energy
