I suppose a Catholic doesn't "need" a Confirmation name, but it would be nice if you did have one. It might not be something that means much to you now but you come to appreciate it in the future.

Are there any saints which you tend to ask for their intercession? Use his/her name. Is there a cause.

Do you have a favorite saint, period? Use his/her name.

You should check out a patrion saint index and look up saints who's patronage matches an interest of yours. Or maybe you like a particular saint's name?

It's not difficult picking Confirmation name. I guess you just have to know where to look. Again, a great place is a "patron saint index". Just google that phrase and you will find a number of websites that will help you find the right patron saint's name for you.

Good luck.

You do not need to choose a different name, since Confirmation is a completion of your Baptism.

BUT.....

Choosing a saint for Confirmation is fun...there are websites with stories of saints...find one that appeals to you!

Most adults going through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) use their own name as their Confirmation name.

If you want to pick the name of another saint then ask your RCIA team if this is allowed.

Welcome to the family.

With love in Christ.

Yes...Ussually it is a saint's name that you admire (don't pick one without meaning to you) if your name is already a saint name it is okay to use that one! Good luck!
