Oil and "stimulating the economy". Iraqi reconstruction contracts go to Halliburton and other US companies, and this creates American jobs and money. Isn't it great that people get slaughtered, so America's economy can be stimulated? Except, that doesn't work b/c war is expensive, and now the country is trillions of dollars in debt, the unemployment rate isn't any better, and only a select few jobs were given out to people who already worked for Halliburton. Man. What a mess. You should get the paper or watch the news or even read it online or maybe not live under a rock. Glad you found out what's going on.

Exactly. Oil, oil, oil. Notice the United States doesn't help places like Ethiopia because they have no oil..... I was just watching the news and they said that hummers for the war cost $350,000.... The people that own the oil companies make the hummers, so the president who is friends with all the oil companies makes sure that for his war we don't have any tanks, or well armed vehicles, we just have $350,000 hummers. Its alll about the oil babe.

Congrats on figuring it out! Whatch the news, and read the Rollingstone.

It is because we don't want others in there controlling it and taking advantage away from us. We have resources untapped, but we are the patrolers of the world.
