When I have dreams about flying, the seem very real. Oh well. Anyway, I usually fly just one metre above the ground, so it's very low, and my body is actually swimming to move forwards. It's really interesting and quite realistic. Any similar experiences or explanations? lol.

If you are flying with ease and enjoying the scene and landscape below, then it suggests that you are on top of a situation. You have risen above something. It may also mean that you have gained a different perspective on things. Flying dreams and the ability to control your flight is representative of your own personal sense of power.

Having difficulties staying in flight indicates a lack of power in controlling your own circumstances. You may be struggling to stay aloft and stay on course. Things like power lines, trees, or mountains may further obstruct your flight. These barriers represent a particular obstacle or person who is standing in your way in your waking life. You need to identify who or what is hindering you from moving forward.

If you are feeling fear when you are flying or that you feel that you are flying too high, then it suggests that you are afraid of challenges and of success.

Another way of interpreting flying dreams is that these dreams symbolize your strong mind and will. You feel undefeatable and nobody can tell you what you cannot do and accomplish.

They say that dreaming of flying means you are content with your life, or that you are easily pleased. My mother is always dreaming of flying, and although she's had a hard life this interpretation is very relevant to her as she is indeed a very contented woman. Incidentally I never dream of flying!!!! Maybe the fact that you are quite close to the ground could mean that you are only a little content with your life??

YEs! whenever i dream of flying (rarely :( ) I always am using breastroke to fly! hah
I think this is because we as humans do not originally know how to fly as other animals, and we dont have wings, so swimming is the closest thing to being suspended in something and moving ourselves.... :P hope that makes sense hehe

Flying low may represent your wanting to play this major change safely. Try writing down your thoughts in a journal. You may be able to see the change in your life you are wanting to attempt.

I'm afraid when I dream of flying (rarely) I go straight up high then land very accurately.

You dream to me says you want to succeed, but you don't mind hard work to achieve it! You want to stand out from the crowd, but just enough for a few people to see.

Or maybe it's just a nice dream!

Swimming, that's interesting. Water is often used to represent the subconscious.
