My dad is not the type of person u can talk to hes very stubborn. He doenst mind calling me out of my name or if he ever wanted to, punching me. He also likes to instigate arguments with me. Its very hard to not speak my mind and not say the things i want for fear of him blowing up. plz help me i dont know wat to do. i have no one to talk to. i dont need a counselor nor do we need to go to therapy because like i said he doesnt care to change and hes very hard to talk to cause he wants to make everything into an arguement. how can i make my time left in this house better when hes trying to make it hard?

Don't know how old you are, but I'm guessing you're about 15. You don't need counseling, you're just beginning to gain your independence, but there's a fine line between expressing yourself, and being disrespectful.

You need to obey and respect your parents until you are old enough to move out and make you're own decisions. You will keep the piece this way. Your parents only have your best interest in mind (regardless of what you might think).

If you are 15, you only have 3 years left. Don't YOU make it a living hell for your family. How you respect them will determine how they treat you, especially your father, he is still the man of HIS house!!

I wonder if your dad is also a religious fanatic. You sound like you are growing up and about to get out on your own. Plan and walk softly. Life goes on and regret will be left behind on your parents part.

Are you yelling back though? Next time he tries to start at it you could ask him if you can have your say in a calm voice. If he says no just walk away. He'll most likely get curious and wonder what you had to say later on. ;)
If he lets you talk then explain to him what you wanted to say; if he tries to interupt simply say 'Dad, you had your chance to speak, now you said i could have mine. Let me speak'. Always remember to keep a calm voice.

Take a picture of any bruises or marks on your body given to you by your parents. Take them to school, and have a couselor call CPS. They'll think twice about touching you again.
