My family has dogs that we took in because their owners couldn't keep them anymore, but they didn't tell us if the dogs have licenses or not. So I was wondering how we can get them licenses and how much it will cost. I also want to know what shots they should get each year. and where to go to get them. Thank you.

Find some local vets or ask around to find a good place to go and ask them because vet bills are expensive! I think you have to go to the city for dog license forms.

I know that Rabies, and DHLPP or DHPP are required vaccinations for going to public areas and I'd make sure to keep them on a flea and tick repellent and heartguard to protect from heartworms and other unwanted pests.

The previous owners should give you the vaccination information.. Or at least tell you were they went to the vet so that the vet can put the dogs in your name and can check to see what they have had done.. You'll want to look in the phone book for your dog licensing information for your area.. Call the vet or the local shelter and ask them where you go for dog tags in your area.
