How old are you, princess? I'm estimating 9-10 yo. If you exercise and eat right, you're getting everything right. You do NOT need to diet at this point in your life because you are a GROWING kid. Your body needs food and fat between now and when you quit growing around 15 years old. That doesn't mean pig out. It means to exercise and eat right and have a little patience because your growing streak is right around the corner. When it comes, you're going to grow 6 or 9 inches and your tummy will not be wide anymore, but tall instead.

Have your parents said anything about thinking you're fat? You go and ask each of them tonight, because you may have gotten the wrong impression. As a parent, I would NEVER let my child think she was fat, and I'm betting your parents won't either. You need to be sure of what they think.

Your friends say you're fine.

But you think you're humongous. This is a lie that's running around in your head over and over until you're believing it.

In the next week, everytime you think in your mind, "I'm so fat," I want you to forget that and say instead to yourself, "I have beautiful eyes." Or "I'm so smart." Or "I love my hair."

But don't listen for an entire week when your mind says you're fat. Letting thoughts like that run around in your mind is what leads to disorders like bulimia and anorexia.

If you can't convince yourself that you have other features that make you beautiful, then you need to go see a counselor and get some therapy. You are far too young to be freaked out by your weight.

Change your mind. Tell yourself all the good things you're working on to help your weight. Tell yourself the other things that are wonderful about you. Listen to the compliments other people say about you. Your friends say, "No, you're not fat." Can you believe them? Of course. Take their word for it.

Wow, 4'9" and 110 pounds? That's NOT FAT AT ALL! If you lose 25 pounds you will be a stick or thinner than a stick! You are fine... and if your parents think you're fat, well that's absoulutely ridiculous. Measure your waist and say how much it is. Unless it's over 30 inches, you really have nothing to worry about!

i jog for about 15 minutes in my apartment i live in a busy, loud downtown area and can't find any comfortable jogging shoes that fit my wide feet.. and i also do about 30 minutes of leg lifts and crunches or sit ups.
