Me and my mom only have 4 days before I have to go to california and she goes back to teaching. We have'nt done anything ALL SUMMER! Not even just going to the pool. She is too busy bike racing to hang out with me and everytime I tell her this she laughs at me... I want to do something together but she's just SO LAZY!

You won't like what I'm going to say but your mums not lazy she is in a demanding job that could stress her out big time, shes with children all day at work so when she is at home she is probably looking for time out to regenerate herself mentally. The bike racing is her release let her have it she's not a bad person she deserves it. However I do agree there needs to be a balance, you are her child therefore she needs to make sometime for you too. Maybe you should tell her that you understand she needs her chill time before she goes back to teaching but it would be nice to do something together ?go on a bike ride together, eat out or go swimming, whatever makes you both happy.

I am a parent in a demanding job(no excuses) when I come home sometimes I can't or don't want to start dealing with the kids I just want to hibernate. But I have to listen to the kids when they keep harping on and saying 'I'm bored, we don't do anything' and we'll agree to do something mutually.

You're obviously a good kid to want to want to spend some time with your mum, some kids couldn't care less and would do ther own thing, good on you persevere. Hope your last few days of your holiday are fun.xx

It's not lazy when she's bike racing, but she is definitely not taking your feelings into consideration.

The best thing to do is to ensure that you keep yourself busy and out of trouble.

Good luck!

If she is expending energy bike racing, I wouldn't call her lazy.

Everyone likes to eat. See if you can get her to go to dinner with you at a favorite restaurant.
