that being said i just want to know why some smokers are such litter bugs?
i know it's not all of them, but it seems to be an awful lot of them.
some seem to think that the world is their ashtray. today i watched people throwing cigarettes out their car windows, and i've seen people dump their car ashtrays out at red lights.
why do people do that?

no matter our religion (or lack of) we are caretakers of this planet. if we don't take care of it who will?

i asked this in r&s because this is where i hang out.

Taking care of the earth is part of most religions that I am aware of
If you think emptying your ashtrays in the street is ok, why not in your own driveway??

I will be buttering 4 slices of bread On slice one there will be a bread sized piece or lettuce On slice two there will be a layer of mashed egg On slice 3 the will be some thin chopped tomato (no seeds) Each will be seasoned and then stacked, the egg onto the lettuce, the tomato onto the egg, and the 4th slice will go butter down on top It will then be squished down and the two side crusts will be cut off and the sandwiches cut into 3 fingers. Hence the term finger sandwiches, and here what is also known as a Club sandwich, unlike the American Style You could use whatever fillings you fancied Chetak

Of course. All experiences carry with them something for us to learn from. Sadly this experience will teach us the huge amounts of damage abuse and neglect can do. We don't get it on the personal level, we don't get it on the social level...apparently we have to see it on a global level before we wake up and get a clue about the damage we are doing.

Environmental is a religion, a religion of the beast, it is a trap set for the foolish. When Lucifer sets off the trap, he will have a Field day, but wow unto the silly humans. Who Believe not God!

I grow my own fruits and vegetables, completely organic. No chemicals of any kind - ever. Although I am not completely self-sufficient yet, truly sustainable living is my goal.

Spirituality has nothing to do with it. I'm an atheist.

it's a valid question for R&S! God fully expects us to be faithful stewards of His creation...He made an amazing, interesting, mysterious, and beautiful planet-i find myself in awe of His handiwork! it is our responsibilty to cherish it, care for it, and pass it on to the next generation in good condition

Yes, I think we have a responsibility to care for creation. However, because you care for creation doesn't make you spiritual.

Spiritual? I don't think so unless you believe in something linked to nature.

I think environmentalism is just smart.
