The sky goes several miles up. The lower pare is composed of about 78% Nitrogen, and the rest Carbon Dioxide, Oxygen, and Argon. There is enough Oxygen for us, and enough Nitrogen to prevent runaway fires. It was designed this way.

I offer this bit of free-verse that I wrote some years ago, for your perusal, and, hopefully, your pleasure:
Gazing into the night sky
The wondrous spectacle of tiny, twinkling lights
Beauty on such a grand scale
That my mind cannot comprehend it
How great is God
That has called forth such beauty
And how great must be His love for His creation
To lavish such amazing splendor
Such luxurious wonders
On His creatures
Tremendous balls of fiery energy
Set hurtling through the vastness of space
At His word
At His command
The earth beneath my feet
He hung upon nothing
How can my tiny, finite mind
Encompass the might
The terrible majesty
Of the One Who created me
And yet
He loves me
In my mother’s womb, He knew me
The very hairs on my head are numbered
He knows my mind, though I do not
The secrets of my heart are not hid from Him
Jealousies, lusts, greed
All are laid bare before Him
Yet He does not turn away
He loves me

I've never heard an angel complain so it must be soft.
