The shoe that's great for me may be totally wrong for you. Have you ever been to a shoe store that specializes in running shoes? If not give it a try. They can look at the way your foot and ankle react as they strike the ground, and based on that recommend a shoe based on that.
There are several running shoe types:
motion control
stability
cushioned
performance trainers
racing
trail shoes
Do you know what type is best for you?
A person in a shoe store that specializes in running shoes can point you in the right direction.

My best training shoe is the Asics Cumulus 9 and I rate it as an 8. My trail shoe is the Mizuno Wave Ascend 2 and I rate them a 9. I race usually in the Mizuno Elixir 2 and I also rate them as a 9. The Adidas Megabounce is too heavy and not really anything special for a good running training shoe!

Nobody online can make a shoe recommendation because nobody online has seen you run. The primary purpose of a running shoe is to protect you from the pounding of running and everybody has different needs. Go to a running show store and tell them you need some running shoes. If they don't give you a pair and ask to see you run, walk out and find another store. Shoes last 500 miles, change them after that. Good luck!

i agree with rhino, but i have the NikeAir Dual D and they're working great for me right now, probably and 8 or 9.(if 10 is the best) however for the adidas megabounce, i havent heard of them, but i found a website that i put below and near the bottom of it it explains the technology of the shoe i think it sounds like a good one.

Saucony. I rate them a 10--they are the only type of running shoe I have worn for about 15 years. I would like one of the new ones--I don't remember the model number, but it is golf and black.

You should go to the store and check it.
If you are shoes aren't a 8-10 (7-10 if getting old) you should get rid of them.

mizuno wave rider 10 ---- i'd give it an 8 or so. good shoe, but a little heavy. but that's mainly due to the fact that i need lots of padding because i get shin splints quite easily.
