Everyday I wake up and I see my life and sometimes I think that I can't handle it, but I know that I have a comforter. The Holy Spirit brings me peace in all situations. No matter what the situation you are facing in your life, God is bigger than it. We may seem weak when we face a situation, or come up needing. But remember 2 Chorinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Praise God! All we have to do is tell our souls to be still and know that He is God. Stand by His word; He is the Lord. If God be for me who can be against me? Will Christians tell themselves that even though they may seem weak and helpless in a battle, that God is here, and will never leave? God Bless you today.

Why do I let my soul be troubled? Because I am human. I know that God did not create man to live in a world full of sin, but Adam and Eve did sin and now all of us must live with their mistake. I know that if anyone of us was Eve we probably would have listened to the Devil and sinned just as quickly and easily as she did, so I am not blaming all my sorrows on her. I do wrestle all the time with troubles and trials though. Even the great Billy Graham has his moments of doubt, but then I am sure that he takes his needs to God in prayer and through His strength is able to deal with it. I know what the Bible says: that His grace is sufficient, but since I am human it's easy to forget or ignore what we are told to do. No one will be perfect until they die and go to Heaven. We will all have problems and troubled souls while living on this earth. To say that your soul is never troubled I believe would be a lie. God never said that our souls would live a merry life, but he did tell us what to do when we have problems.

Anxiety is a natural phenomenon; we can't help it. It is the "fight-or-flight" syndrome we call stress. However, what we do with it, how long we carry it around, is up to us. There are many techniques available to deal with stress, but the best is relying on the faithfulness and strength of God. I am reminded of what Luther penned in "A Mighty Fortress": And take they our life, goods, fame, child and wife. Let these all be gone, they yet have nothing won. The Kingdom ours remaineth."

Oh troubled soul why so weighed down
You were not meant to bear this heavy load
Cast all your burdens upon the Lord
Trust again in the power of His Word.

I will praise the mighty Name of Jesus
Praise the Lord , the Lifter of my head
Praise the Rock of my salvation
All my days are in His faithful hands

Hello!
Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.
There are 7000 promises in the Bible for us to use while on earth we will not need them in eternity they are to be used now.
When we apply the word which is alive and powerful we have peace.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your worries on God because He cares for you.
Joshua1:9 Have I not commanded you"Be strong and courageous,Do not tremble or be dismayed ,For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Psalm
4:8 I will both lay me down and sleep in peace for you
Lord only make me dwell in safety.
Take care!

Living in the real world with the living God is quite amazing, isn't it? We do still have our "sinful nature" that tends to want to do things our own way.

I kind of like the word picture of "Spiritual Breathing" as it pertains to letting God through the power of the Holy Spirit, permeate my life... I intentionally breath in the conscious choice to let God be in control, then I breathe out the confession of attitudes and actions in my life which hinder me from my close relationship with God (it's called sin).
Breath in, breath out.

Keep breathing!

i stumble sometimes-far more often than i like to admit-i get myself all worked up sometimes trying to be in control-and sometimes i forget 'not my will, but His'...but i can honestly say that it's getting better, i'm growing and learning, even if i get impatient with my seeming lack of progress-but overall, just like that hymn i love so much 'it is well, it is well with my soul'
