Take a glass of salt water and rinse your mouth out. Swish the water around to remove the solid. If that doesn't work then don't panic.

You are going to get food into the socket until it heals properly, but as long as the gum itself is intact it won't matter. The stitches may have come out too early, and that could require a return to the doctor; I would call their office to find out. However, you are okay. The body won't let something like food in the socket destroy itself. At worse it could result in an infection as the body tries to break it down, but if the gum skin is intact then you won't have that problem.

As the new gum forms it will push the food inside of it out and maintain the seal. At least that's what happened in my case when my teeth were removed. Including my Wisdom teeth I had to have 13 teeth pulled because my mouth is too small. So I do have some experience here.

It is normal and ok for the stitches to fall out-providing you are not pulling them out on your own. I'm assuming the stitches are on the lower wisdom teeth sockets. If that's the case, some dentists place a collagen plug and then suture it so you don't get dry socket. I would call the dentist. If you had dry socket, you would be in a great amount of discomfort and pain. As far as the food getting stuck, you should rinse your mouth with warm salt water.

First of all stop picking at them. I do not know if you can brush your teeth or not I do not know all about this procedure. Next I would probably contact a dentist or go see one for a check up.

Asking a question here is ok too and you may get some helpful answers but you have no way of knowing if we are correct or not.
