What does scout mean by this? I think there's just one kind of folks. Folks.
The other question was what does the imagery reveal in this paragraph?
Maycomb was an old town, but it was a tired old town when I first knew it. In rainy weather the streets turned to red slop; grass grew on sidewalks, the courthouse sagged in the square. Somehow, it was hotter then: a black dog suffered on a summer's day; bony mules hitched to Hoover carts flicked flies in the sweltering shade of the live oaks on the square. Men's stiff collars wilted by nine in the morning. Ladies bathed before noon, after their three-o'clock naps, and by nightfall were like soft teacakes with frostings of sweat and sweet talcum.

Folk is folk = black and white are the same
Maycomb imagery = typical old, tire and hot Southern town, relatively poor. The reason for this passage is to set the stage or tone for the story. In one simple passage, the author quickly brings Maycomb to life and readers can universally relate to hot lazy summer days. It also describes Maycomb as a typical Southern town of the time.

For the first question I think she was saying that nobody is different. You have to remember the setting and the time the book was written. Segregation was still very prevalent and Atticus taught his kids that nobody is different. I dont know about the second question.
