I've been using proactiv for about 2 weeks and my skin has never, ever looked this bad. It's the worst it's ever been. I'm getting acne in places on my face where I've never gotten acne before. I know it's supposed to get worse before it gets better but come on!!!! How long should I keep using it before I give up?? I don't wanna give up only to realize it would've gotten better in another week.

Ok, first of all, you should try a couple things. If it hasn't been working, ditch the third thing, the moisturizer there. It just makes my skin worse. So now that you are using just the 1st step, the Renewing Cleanser, and the 2nd step, the Revitalizing toner, you can try a couple things. Try it twice daily, in the morning and at night. If that is too much and dries out your skin, Try it just in the evening.
What I do is use the 2 steps just at night. Before you completely quit ProActiv, you gotta mess around.
I started out with the 3 steps twice a day, and it made my face worse too.

You should stop using it now because your results could mean that you have an allergic reaction to that product. They also said on the commercial that there would be less acne in 3 days, so you should stop if it worsens. I suggest you try AcneFree for your acne, because it is for every skin type and it's really cheap. I've tried it and my skin improved the next day. You can buy it at most drugstore such as Target and Walgreens.

it should be getting better by now. if it hasn't improved within a week stop using it.
personally i never found proactive was that great. best bet is to get the prescriptions. however the sulphur mask you get for free is really good. if you leave it on overnight it really helps clear up breakouts.

for me it didnt make my acne better, ever, so i switched to the generic brand of proactiv and is cheaper, AcneFree, and it has worked like a charm, it cleared up my face quickly and kept the acne under control.

I used it, and yes it got worse before it got better, but in my case I had to stop using it. Because I have a strange skin issue.

it can take up to four or even 6 weeks to start working at all. try washing with the cleanser for more or less time, you can go up to 5 minutes
