I don't mean to offend anyone, just doing some research for story. Can someone be blind and not have cloudy eyes or have any physical indication of blindness? Why does the eyes go cloudy? And would the eyes be cloudy if the blindness wasn't a birth defect, but was caused shortly after birth? Thanks for answers!

It will normally be a fully developed cataract that is causing a white pupil.
Cataracts can be removed, but where the eye has no vision due to disease of accident this is not always done and eventually a white pupil may develop. Especially where there was some damage to the lens involved in the loss of sight. (Shotgun pellet injury, for example)

It is very possible to be blind with no outward sign in the ue, due to nerve damage behind the eye.
came with the old medical saying
"The patient sees nothing, the doctor sees nothing."
because even on examination there was no obvious problem visible in the eye.

If the whole cornea is white, with no iris colour at all, this could be the result of severe corneal infections, ulceration, chemical burns and some rarer, mainly inherited, conditions.

But a totally blind person (with no light perception: remember that 70-80% of people registered blind have *some* vision, even of it's only detecting night and day) will have trouble directing their gaze, and not infrequently have extreme squints, nystagmus (eye wobble), especially if blind from birth, all of which will indicate eye problems even if the eyes don't display the cause of the blindness.

I am thinking of two possible reasons for eyes to go cloudy
1. Catarrh's
2. Glaucoma

You are not offensive its good to do research this is to inform either one's self or someone else.
If the person is blind they would have any eye defect regardless if the person was elderly losing their sight or born blind.

Brittany it PARTIALLY right in her second answer although she didn't have to be rude in the first part. Sometimes people with attitude problems grew up with what they may consider little power over their lives and as they grow up when things get out of their control here comes the attitude. It's a means of control, it's the only way they know how to control the situation or environment around them. Do they retain anger? Yes I believe they do but don't realize that they do but manifest it in their attitude. It will dissipate when they've come face to face with their issues and learn how to resolve them with therapy.

The eyes go cloudy because of cataracts (sp.?), and you can be blind without having cloudy eyes.
