Wow. I can think of any number of things that can be an indicator of impairment. Driving too slow for conditions, improper lane changes, failure to dim high beams, no turn signal, head lamps not illuminated, erratic braking, making wide right turns, excessive speed, sitting through a cycle of a traffic light, weaving within lane, etc. Numerous indicators.

Basically anything that is not 'normal' is a reason to pull you over. Once you have been stopped, most experienced Officers can be fairly sure by looking and observing you while you hand over your license and registration. The field sobriety test generally confirms what they already know.

Driving way too slow is one you might not think of. Also any other violations, like running stop signs can mean a DUI, but not necessarily (they normally just get pulled over for a normal violation, then they're found to be drunk.)

The standard testimony by the cop at trial is: "His eyes were red; his speech was slurred; he _reeked_ of alcohol. He was drunk."
The cops are as likely as not going to pull you over because you're driving a car full of young people.

Excessive speeding/slowing down, driving slow, frequent and improper lane changes to name a few I can think of.
The most obvious, waiting across the street for you when you leave the bar.

there are several things that can be looked for....swerving is the obvious....but basically they look for a traffic violation....you can't pull over somebody for suspicion of being drunk...you can pull someone over for breaking a traffic law...the best way to keep from getting arrested for drunk driving is to not drive drunk.

It's probably safe to say you don't want to find out the answer to your question. Be safe, move to a neighborhood that has a bar you can walk to and stumble home from.

You may forget to turn on your lights or you can't maintain your lane. You may even stop at a green light it is a lot of things.

My best response to you is don't drink and drive. Take a cab. You will get caught same as your friends if you tempt fate.
