Do you like them, or do you ignore them.

I am sure many are temped even more so to answer them.

Personally I find them to be a bit rude, I mean if you want to ask a question to a specific group then that is fine, but I find it rude that you would try to snub others.

Then they can put in the question To neopagans/ wiccans

To add the word only sounds snobby, at least to me.

I sometimes answer questions that are directed to another group because I believe I have something to add to the discussion. However, I always identify myself as not belonging to that particular group.

I do not find the questions offensive. In fact I have asked a couple like that myself. In one instance, I wanted the particular viewpoint of atheists, in another the question pertained to something only Jehovah's Witnesses would be familiar with.

I don't think there's anything wrong with asking questions to people who will actually know something about the subject. If you want to know something about the Bible, it would make the most sense to ask Christians first, the Quran, Muslims, and so on. If I want to know if I need pancreatic surgery, I would ask a doctor only. It's not snobbish, it just saves time.

In the case of Neo-Pagan/Wiccan only questions, I'd like to hope that it cuts down on some of the "YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!!1!1!!" responses from Christians... also, it's a way of tagging questions so that other Neo-Pagans/Wiccans notice them in the flood of posts.

If a question is marked "Christians only", I might cruise in to read it just out of curiousity, but will generally respect the person's request that only members of their faith answer (unless I find someone outright lying, in my opinion).

EDITED TO ADD: I agree -- it's all in how you phrase it. One is potentially quite offensive, and the other is not.

I agree it's rude. This is a public forum and it's not appropriate to ask certain people not to talk. It's one thing to direct the question to people who may know, but to say 'only' is bad manners in a public place.

I only answer anything if I have something to say, and many times on those, I don't. But once in a while I can't stand it and have to say something.

I generally ignore them, unless they're directed towards atheists.
