Any websites, books or c.d.s that can help would be great!
There are many faults in Christianity and i want to convert, since hinduism is older and i beleive that some ideas from newer religions including Christanity & Islam were copied from the Hinduism VIA when the greeks invaded northern India and constant contacts with middle eastern people. (YOU DON'T HAVE TO BELIEVE THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO, IT'S JUST WHAT I THINK)
I am not saying ANYTHING is bad about Christanity & Islam i just want to go back in time to a religion that was founded when people in Europe, China and the Middle East were still straching their heads attemping to firgure out which religion they were going to abide for the next 3,000 years while they were wondering around the planet.
I would like some information on Buddhism as well since it's a branch of Hinduism.

Try the International Society for Krishna Consciousness,otherwise known as the Hare Krishnas. Their speciality is American and European converts. A typical Radha Krsna temple isn't geared for that. ISKON is a monastic order,but you can convert without becoming a monk. I think their term for non-monks or off-temple adherents is girhastas or something like that. They are for the most part fine people. Forget about the negative stuff you've heard; I know them well.

AF is smoking some serious hashish or something. Listening to his rant makes it obvious home boy is muslim. Now how does that make you an expert on Hinduism?? If you look for truth look beyond biased sites, people, books and TV stations. If your imam is stating something about Hinduism it would not be the truth. Now the Kaliki Autar if anything would be similar to the second coming of Christ. It does not say that he would preach a new religion instead it says that after long period of unrest and violence, he will come and kill all the sinners and take the righteous with him to haven. The universe would be destroyed and recreated. I would have to say this account doesn't reassemble your Mohamed fantasy now does it?? Hinduism is the one of the oldest religions, sure it will have things common to other religions that's because the other religions have picked out those things from it. AF I'm sure you all muslims men are sex starved pathetic individuals that believe that holy war would lead them to haven with six virgins. Oh! am I wrong?? Get the point AF ???

HINDUISM
Chapter 24
Here's how it starts...
Hinduism is not only one of the oldest of all religious systems, it is also one of the most complex. During its history Hinduism has spawned a variety of sects holding diverse beliefs; therefore, it is difficult to get an accurate picture of Hinduism without considering a vast array of history and commentary.
Gaer notes,
But all the various sects believe in:
Brahman, the eternal Trimutri, or Three-in-One God: Brahma, the Creator; Vishnu, the Preserver; and Shiva, the Destroyer;
Submission to Fate, since man is not outside, but part of Brahman;
The Caste System, determined by the laws of Manu;
The Law of Karma, that from good must come good, and from evil must come evil;
Reincarnation, as a chain of rebirths in which each soul, through virtuous living, can rise to a higher state;
Nirvana, the final stage reached upon the emancipation of the soul from the chain of rebirths; Yogas, the disciplines which enable the individual to control the body and the emotions; and Dharma, the Law of Moral Order, which each individual must find and follow to reach nirvana.

why in the blazes do you want to hurry and convert to a relgion you dont know much about? why dont you just STUDY all sorts of religions and see which parts you like? at that point you could make a much more informed decision if you still felt the need to "convert." Buddhism did begin in India and the buddha was probably a hindu before attaining enlightenment, but i dont think its proper to call buddhism a branch of hinduism. its easy to find information online. you should also check out zen, taoism and paganism.

Buddhism says be empty of self. Jesus says be empty of self for the sake of being filled with the Holy Spirit. Hinduism says put self between two mirrors and imagine that you are infinite. Buddhism is nothing. Hinduism is a lie. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. What faults are you talking about. I'd be happy to help you.

RESPONSE TO ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
If you are claiming that you are not a "freaking Hindu" but would like to become a "freaking" Hindu, I sincerely apologize.
