No. You could be considered agnostic. Agnostic usually believe that there is no proof either way of a god or afterlife. In other words, they'll believe it when they see it. Which doesn't entirely rule out the idea of a higher power, it just allows you to hang onto your skepticism about the universe.

According to the dictionary, you could technically be considered "an infidel" if you just don't believe in the conventional God, that the dominant religious group around you believes in.

Additionally, some religions, like Judaism and Paganism, don't place belief on a Hell.

That's pretty much the definition of an atheist.

The Religious Reich in America makes it sound as if you have to learn Marxist theory (Karl, not Groucho), memorize the Humanist Manifesto, and vote for Hillary Clinton before you can become an atheist. Not true. All you have to do is stop believing in any deity and you're an atheist...

Well, if you believe that god, heaven, and hell definitely do not exist, they you're an atheist. If you believe that it cannot be know whether god, heaven, hell, or any other supernatural things exist then you are an agnostic.

Atheism = no god.
Agnosticism = maybe a god, maybe no god.

Yep. You win!

If someone asked you: "Do you believe in God?", unless you can answer yes to that question (which would make you a "theist"), you qualify as an atheist.

Now, you may be a SOFT atheist (don't believe there's a God, but aren't willing to rule out the possibility, although you live your life as if there is no God) or a HARD atheist (STRONGLY believe that there is no God).

You see, we don't require a lot to get in. And once you're in, we don't require a lot for you to stay in.

Even if somehow you did believe in an afterlife, that wouldn't disqualify you.

Sorry we don't have prize certificates, but suffice it to know that you are not alone.

People always try to label and categorize. You don't have to take on any labels. If you don't believe in God, you aren't an athiest unless you take ownership of that label. I don't believe in the God that man made, but I do believe there is something, I just don't know what. I don't consider myself an athiest. I may be closer to an Agnostic (don't know) but I don't even care enough about the label to find out exactly what that means, in detail. I just don't care about categorizing myself in terms of my religious beliefs or lack thereof. You don't have to either. People may call you all kinds of names. Who cares?

Yes and no. There are forms of non-deist spirituality. As far as heaven and hell are concerned, most religions do not incorporate the concept, for example Hinduism and Judaism.

Religion claims the proof that God exists. Agnostics say it can't be proved, and athiests claim the proof of nonexistence of God.
I personally belong to the church of "I Have No Idea" and I'm quite comfortable with it.

Yeah, atheism is the lack in a belief of a God. So yeah, by definition it makes you an atheist.

No that just makes you not Christian. Muslims believe in Allah and Buddhists don't believe in God and Hindus believe in many gods. If you don't believe in any religion then you are atheist.
