Annika has to be considered here, dominant on the tour the last 6 years, 11 majors...in an era with a number of very good women golfers, all who might have many more wins if annika wasnt that good (some with a number of majors themselves)...had it not been for this injury which stopped her and might still be a hindrance of some sort she would still be number one, with a handful more wins perhaps more majors also...It was cool to watch her and the women play in my hometown (Hiddenbrooke, a Palmer course that used to host the samsung world championships), its pretty amazing to see the women (most of who arent real big) hit it straight and far with nice smooth swings...

with her 5-6 years of dominance and 10 majors under her belt - Annika Sorenstam - she lost her #1 ranking only because she got injured and didn't play for over a month and then has to play at least 2 months just to get her bearings back - before you know it, she will be back to #1 in the world, believe it

It's a toss-up between Babe Zaharias, Nancy Lopez or Anika Sorenstrom.
Babe is the most interesting because she really didn't play much golf until her twenties.

I would say Kathy Whitworth or Patty Berg. Kathy has the most career LPGA wins, with 88. Patty has the most career LPGA major wins with 15.
