our hampster has what is called wet - tail and they get it often, are you feeding your hampster lettuce cause they get it from that and other veggiies and foods theys SHOULDN;T BE EATING so really you need to takehim to a vet, he could die from it., or his intestines can come out if it gets bad enough so stop with the lettuce i know it is cute to watch them pack their cheeks full of stuff. Take him in its the best thing.; good luck and take care

my sis just got a hampster about a month ago in fact she went through 3 and found out that a hampsters butt CANNOT be wet for an extended period of time .....it is called wet tail and they can die from it....i have seen it happen idk what u can do to cure it but u can go to your local petco or pet supplies store and ask an employee they r pretty helpful in these situations. and it is free advice and much cheaper that a vet.
i hope this helps and good luck. :D

Get some books from the library on hampster care. If not, then take it to the vet to get it checked out.

Simple, it's dying because your cage or aqarium is infected. Get a wet tail antibiotic, put it in it's water, and wait. I had like 50 hamsters and gerbels when I was a kid due to conception. Not much you can do for a 5 dollar animal., Not to be mean, it hurt me back then.

wet tale .....go to the petstore and tell the worker there they will give you meds for this....follow instructions right, it can die. Its very common and it can be ok if treated now. Its cheap to buy. This is basically a bad case of the runny poops, lol. But can get dehydrated easily.
