For as young as you are, you conduct yourself in a manner frequently thought of as someone far older than yourself. One reason why parents should individually monitor their children's access and usage. I'm against age restrictions beyond that, otherwise I might not have had a chance to meet such a sweet, fuzzy kitten.

I think with the abuse button in place, not too much gets on here that shouldn't be here. Of course, a lot depends on the maturity of a young person. When my niece was growing up, I use to call her the 45 year old kid..she was old enough to figure things out at an early age...Some kids are still very immature at the age of 16 or 17....so it isn't the age, so much as the maturity of the child..I know this boy who is 24 and still puts two straws up his nose and calls himself a walrus...he thinks it's funny....so there you go....

Why? Why should people have to be a certain age to ask or answer a question about their religion?
It's usually the adults that act like idiots and are paranoid over the subject. So there should be no age limit and even if there was people can easily say they are older. It's not hard

Age limit of 13 at least (though, to be honest, 10 year olds interested in religion often have more relevant and original things to say than those of the 13 to 29 range, whose beliefs are so disgusting divergent or verbatim that their free speech should be temporarily removed until they get something good to say),

Sometimes I see people that are like ducks lined up for the regular "debaters".
I think a 14 year old should be able to read here, a lot of people below that age are in for some rude awakenings, and are helpless to communicate.

There is an age limit (+13) on Yahoo answers. But 12-yr olds get around it by lying about their age when they sign up.
I would prefer it be +15 or something.

There should not be an age limit... I am 14 and Love spending some time here, and would be quite upset if I was not allowed to be on...
Why do you think we should??

Strictly speaking a persons age does not indicate their maturity.
But I can't pass a maturity test so: No requirements for joining R&S works for me.
I would like newbies to be unable to report older/higher levels (5,6,7) - too many are leaving because of over sensitive newbies. Just learn who's who first. Learn that people say things to make others mad, so just don't get mad, don't click that question, move on.

personally...I dont think there should really be an over the top age limit....or any at all.
but if there was to be one...I think you should be any age to ask, 16 and up to answer.
although even then we would probably still get stupid answers from people who think they know everything. haha.

The minimum age is supposedly 13. This could never be enforced.
Why?
Some 13 year olds are wiser and kinder than 30 year olds. Some aren't.
