this is the problem if there is anyway i can fix it without restore, plz help.

I had downloaded space cowboy online by GPotato and didn't like it, I went to uninstall but add/remove programs couldn't do it, so i went to manually uninstall the game, i clicked uninstall in the game''s profile in the start menu. It said windows cannot locate setup.exe, manually locate by browse. Stupidally enough under manually locating i want to the game's program file and clicked on the thing that said uninstall. This turned out to be the icon for uninstall not the program to uninstall. Now whenever i click on uninstall in the start menu it shows me the icon instead. This game is taking up over 2 gigs and i really wanna delete it, know any tips?

also, the setup file windows was asking me to look for, i can't find it either. It should be noted that after downloading the game's .exe file, i installled the game and deleted the .exe file i used to load it.

Re install the game (from download) then use the games uninstall to remove it. The file you deleted at the start is the one it is looking for to uninstall it.

Something like that would never be 2 GB, perhaps 2 MB?
Anyways try doing a system restore. It goes to a timepoint and deletes everything you did past that point.
1. Programs
2. Accesories
3. System Tools
4. System Restore
5. Restore my comp. to an earlier time

Hopefully System Restore is on and hopefully there is a timepoint in there before you downloaded that game. Remember, it deletes everything thing you did past that date. Including Word documents and etc.

this might be a little confusing, but it should work.

first, navigate to C:\Program Files\GPotato or C:\Program Files and look for the name of the game (Space Cowboy). Once found, select the folder with the game files but don't enter. now press delete and select yes at the confirmation popup. once removed, press Win+R and type in regedit. press ok.

these registry keys should be deleted:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\{Game/Company}, HKEY_Classes_Root\{Game/Company}.{extension}, HKEY_Current_User\Software\{Game/Company}, HKEY_USERS\***ALL***\{Game/Company}, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\{appname}, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{RANDOM}

Since {random} is a random integer, you have to look at the values named "Display Name" and look for Space Cowboy or similar. After that, delete the start menu folder and you're done.

go to program files,find its folder and delete it....then if you dont have CCleaner...download it and run it,go to the issues tab and clean!.....this will remove any bits of the program that are in the registry.......its not the best way to uninstall but its as good as it gets.............use ccleaner whenever you uninstall a program
