Yes, I have bouts of depression. I think that most people do, especially in today's world. I cope by praying, talking to my mother, and my husband, and treating myself to my favorite food - chocolate!! Also, another thing that brings me out of my bout of depression is to go out and have fun doing something I love like fishing, listening to my favorite music - maybe at a bar with my hubby, or if I have the money, buying something I've been wanting. Sorry that you are having this bout of depression, the fog will lift soon! God Bless!

I sure do! I've been living with depression for years now. But these days, I go to counseling every 2 weeks, and I do take medication and check up with the psychologist from time to time. Depression can be difficult to cope with, and everyone have their own ways of coping with it.

For me, if I'm having a bad day, it helps me to write in my journal (I use Livejournal.com for my journal entries, and make the entries PRIVATE). It's a way for me to let it all out. It's just not easy for me to talk to people when I'm in my "depressed" mode, so I fill up my journal quite a bit.

Most people get depressed all the time, but then they jump back to normal for a while. It's an ongoing cycle for me.. sometimes I have no reason to feel bad, but the bad feeling is still present.. When I am at my worse I give in to the herbs but that is because I know there is no reason for me to feel bad so why go through it? But if there is a real tangible reason to be depressed over, you should try to alleviate the source of that depression, and that will undoubtedly relieve your depression.

To help with the ability to see progress as well as to help you sort out your thoughts and issues,
get a notebook and journal some most every day.

Otherwise, eat, sleep, exercise, talk with people, get up and outside every day, make some me time every day to journal or try to find something pleasant to do.
