school starts in 23 days including today so how do i lose some fat!help!

skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you're full
eat fruits at night if your hungry.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

Dear Karina, you have to beware the advice of stupid people on the yahoo answer board. Some us are just plain nuts.

23 days is not long enough to do too much, 10 lbs., max. And shocking your body with starvation and overdoing exercise is not healthy.

I'm overweight, too, but I can usually come out looking pretty good. It all depends on how you dress. Forinstance, you buy a t-shirt that says something you love--v-neck or low neck (it never hurts to emphasize your assets, and I bet you do have them), normal--not baggy style. Then you buy a cami in a contrasting color, and make sure it peeks out the top and the bottom. This one move of bringing the eye down to hip level (with the contrasting cami) makes them forget to look at your waist. Yes!

There are lots of little tricks to dressing skinny even though you're not. Look for a book on line or find a friend with really good fashion sense. Go to the mall and plan to spend all day. Try this, try that. No loose jeans (not too tight), always with a little flare.

I was just your age when my big growth spurt started--6" over the summer. And for the first time in my life, I was slender instead of chunky. Soon, honey, soon!

The one that told you to give up it's hopeless is a moron so don't listen to that person.

For most people losing weight is simple math. Burn more calories then you eat. I would follow most of what Jeff says except skipping meals. I would instead eat at least the three main meals everyday plus healthy snacks if I'm hungry. Keep a food journal. Notice how you feel when you eat. Are you angry or upset? Are you even hungry when you eat. Definitely drink lots of water. A lot of people think they are hungry when they are in fact thirsty.

You might want to see your doctor for a check up.

Remember that you did not get this way overnight. You won't lose it overnight. Search for weight loss success stories online for motivation. There are many out there. Do not pay attention to the idiots that will try to bring you down. Pay attention to the tips Jeff gave you to build up your confidence because the haters will try to bring you down. It's the only way they know of to make themselves feel better.

It is more a matter of intensity than distance or time. Usually a good jog will be one of about 30 minutes, at a jogging speed that increases your heart rate to about 120 beats per minute. That is, where you can talk but will need to catch your breath after every two sentences more or less. You will probably have to work some to get to that standard, if so, alternate walking time in your jogging work out when needed and resume the jog when you can. In time you will walk less and jog more. Warm up and cool down. Stretching is essential. Jogging three times a week will be enough.- Some toning exercises will help in burning calories, so do some two days a week, it will be a great complement to your jogging and get you fitter in less time. Rest, it is essential to rest and no to over do it.

you can start by exercising for at least 30 minutes a day and eating healthy. But you are not going to lose a ton of weight in 23 days. A healthy expectation is to lose about 1lb each week.

the quickest (and healthiest) way to lose weight is by doing a lot of cardio. This means lots of running, walking, tennis, volleyball, soccer ect. Anything that gets your heart beat pumping and keeps the blood flowing. Also, eat 4-6 SMALL meals a day, instead of the traditional 3. The should consist mainly of protien (fish, chicken, nuts, ect.) and lots of veggies. Also, drink plenty of water. A few days before school starts, cut out soda and limit salt intake to curb bloat. change little things... start walking walking is a great way to get your heart pumping and get things moving, also cut out soda's or drinks with sugar in them like fruit punch or juice.... Water is the best thing to drink.. if you don't like plain water Crystal light is good to drink too, thats like basically water. look at the snacks you eat, are they junk food snacks? if so replace them with healthy snacks. if you like to swim swimming is an excellent source of exercise as well...

Do not let ANYBODY bring you down and if your doing it to look good for school then i don't think you are in the right mind set, you need to want to do it for yourself, maybe to look good for yourself, or just be a healthier person, you'll increase your life line if you start now!

I've been there its hard work but definately worth the struggle!

well run for 30 min a day or do some form of cardio, eat healthy and if u want a fun way of exercising play ddr(dance dance revolution) but keep it up year round cuz u need to lose a lot of weight considering ur 12 and weight tht much.
