TRUE Christians do not fight in wars. They know that God's Kingdom will solve mankind's problems, not human governments.

The girl below me should read her Bible more often - these are the Last Days, Satan is the one influencing the world's rulers. - 2 Timothy 3:1 ; 1 John 5:19 ; Revelation 12:9,12.

Ha! I knew I'd get at least one thumbs down....typical.

A Christian will defend their country. They will go to war in another country if they feel they are following the will of God.

They acquire that feeling by praying and asking God if is really His will that they go to war.

If they feel it is not right, they should decline going to war.

But, if the war is brought to their country, they must stand up and fight. It is not an option to sit back and do nothing.

There have been examples in the past of groups of people refusing to defend their country when enemies have come into their land and started killing people. The captain of the armies became very angry with those who just sat back and did nothing. So he took part of his army and went back to give those people the option of either joining them in the defense of their country, or be killed. Some chose to die, and others went to war.

I feel he was justified, because if he had allowed them to do whatever they wanted, then these same people would have eventually corrupted all the functions of the government (much like is happening today) and the country would have collapsed from the inside.

Not if he's a stinking coward who will leave the other guy do his fighting for him.
Christians are not called to fight for the country, Americans are called. If they're Americans first and holies second, they'll fight. If they use religion to save their worthless hides, they're not Americans, they're cowards.
For your information. I crawled through the mud and blood in the front line infantry all the way across Europe until we met the Russians in Czechoslovakia. I was no coward.

Physical war – No
Christian has battle to fight but not by flesh.” Eph 6:12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Not in the 21st century. We now know that war accomplishes nothing. There are better ways to settle differences.

No one should go to war. But when forced, I suppose it's everyone responsibility. For instance, Hitler had to be stopped. So when it comes to that, Christian or Muslim or Hindu, it was the world's resposibility to stop him.
