Have you ever heard of pickled or spicy pigs feet & pigs lips?

Pickled Pigs Feet
6 pig's feet, split
2 cups wine or tarragon vinegar or vinegar
2 onions
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon paprika
1 red pepper pod
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1 pinch marjoram
salt & pepper

Wash pig's feet well. Cover with cold, salted water. Soak.
Drain. Place in a stockpot. Cover with cold water and simmer 1 hour.
Add vinegar, onion, bay leaves, paprika, red pepper, cloves, dry mustard, celery seed, marjoram, salt and pepper to season. Simmer until tender.

I have only heard of pickled pigs feet. My mother liked those. I had not heard of the pigs lips though.

I've heard of pickled pigs feet and ears. In fact, I've seen them sold out of large jars. And no, I never tried one. LOL

Have ham hocks particularly in many circumstances in the wintry climate with carrots,onions and dumplings. Pigs ft (referred to as trotters in Britain) I even have not had provided that my formative years,during the 30s,particularly enjoyed the,yet for the time of those days you ate what grew to become into put in front of you,my mom roasted them,i did no longer like them boiled. Chit lings i don't be responsive to what they are and function in no way eaten turtle.

Yes my dad turned me on to pickled pigs feet....i thought they where pretty taste...although the jell they are stored in could make leather taste pretty good...

Yes, I have seen them at the grocery store & they look really disgusting!!! I wouldn't touch them with someone else's ten foot pole!!!!
