I had Bells Palsy 5 years ago and I think I'm addicted to the medicine they gave me to treat it.

Before I had the medicine I was always worrying about things I couldn't control and I 'd break out into uncontrollable sweats .
With the medicine I felt very numb but I didn't worry as much and I was actually doing better in school.

I told my mother about it and she just laughed and said " You were high".

Even though its been 5 years since I've took those pills I still feel like I'd be better with them. I actually miss taking them. Sometimes I wish I could get the pills back.

A few months ago I was using tylenol p.m to help me get to sleep. I didn't need the Tylenol I just needed a way to get to sleep.

I'm also a depressive and part of me is afraid that if I'm put on anti-depressants I'll become addicted to them. But the other part of me feels like I need to be on anti- depressants.

Things of this nature should really be decided by a professional with the training to make these sorts or decisions. You may have OCD or a nervous disorder that needs some sort of medication in order for you to feel more at ease, not high, but better adjusted and more in charge. I would advise you to make an appointment with someone at your local mental health office and be assessed in order to find out if you need a little something to level out your nerves. Anti-depressants aren't usually addictive and can really help you feel more normal. I think this is what you are looking for. You owe it to yourself to go and find out! It is nothing to worry about for creating an addiction. Good luck to you.

Try inositol. It's a B vitamin that they use to treat obsessive compulsive disorders. You can't OD--it's water soluble and any unused portion is discarded by the the body. Comes in a powder form. Suggested dose is up to 18 grams (2 grams = 1 tsp). They've also found it to enhance mood in people who are depressed. Work up to the 18 gram. Doctors suggest 1 tsp 3X a day for first week and then gradually increasing. It's non addictive also. I've used it for around 3 months and I've felt really great.

in the beginning, your mom can not have "reasonable" schizophrenia. You the two have it or no longer. given which you're saying she has Bipolar sickness, the main possibly venture is that she has Bipolar sickness with psychotic constructive properties. if that's so, it would be no longer likely that drugs at present resulted interior the form of Bipolar sickness. drugs are extra possibly to be the catalyst interior the form of psychosis. people who're at a miles better probability for coming up a psychotic sickness would properly be have such an ailment delivered on by ability of hardcore drug use. notwithstanding, this triggering happens in the present day or quickly after a drug use adventure. Bipolar sickness = temper sickness (could have psychotic constructive properties) Schizophrenia = Psychotic sickness

If you have panic attacks and think you could be depressed-you can take a mild anti-depressant and you won't feel high or anything. just don't take benzodiazepams or painkillers. They are addictive. anti-depressants are physically but your doctor just needs to ween you off (another drug you can't just stop). It sounds like you are more bored and looking for some excitement or a new feeling maybe? That's how I started.

You do not state what drug you were given to treat Bells Palsy. So can't say it's addictive.

99% of antidepressive drugs are not habit forming. How ever one should never quite them cold turkey either. You should weah off of them because they help your brain manufacture more seretoin. I find if I forget to take them I get headaches. But as soon as I take my meds the headache goes away in an hour.

You would benefit from therapy and anti-depressants. These meds are not a cure but a tool to help you deal with such feelings. They are meant for you to take forever.
