It started the Protestant church and then was blown into a full war that ended in the rape of Rome and her people by a protestant army, literally.

I just read and realized most of the answerers don't even no what Dispensationalism means--to give them a chance to do some editing, here's a bit of a definition: An exemption from a church law, a vow, or another similar obligation granted in a particular case by an ecclesiastical authority. usually this came at a price.

Baloney.
In order to accept Dispensationalism, you have to ignore much of the Bible, the writings of the Church Fathers, the Church Councils, the Medieval theologians, the Reformers, ancient history, and 95% of modern Christians.

I know that you're not going to believe this, but I have to admit that I never have given Dispensationalism a single thought.

I think it is just another example of people trying to make sense of this life and the world. I can say it doesnt influence my belief system and life. We as humans run ourselves crazy trying to figure out the world and existence. WE don have to know everything in order to live a good life.

Well there are obvious differences between the new and old testament, that's why they created two seperate religions.

I really don't care about it. Because the books it stands for are just books and shouldn't hold any more meaning than that.

I am not familiar with the word and have only heard it used once before, with reference to the 'Left Behind' books by LaHaye and Jenkins. In which case it might mean 'poorly written', 'annoyingly preachy', 'too bloody presumptuous' or simply 'bollocks'.

I had to look it up. Since I put no credence in the biblical texts, this term has no bearing on my spirituality, I need no progressive means of interpreting the Bible and biblical events.

That's it's BS like all religion. It compartmentalizes the Bible into segments to try to make sense of it. If it made sense, you wouldn't need to do that. If there was a God and he wrote a Bible, wouldn't it make more sense?

Don't buy it. Think it's a man-made dispensation.
