Atheism is ignorance mixed with arrogance.

No, atheism is using rational thought to come to the realization that there is no God. Once that understanding is achieved, a world of possibilities opens up. The unknown is a very exciting place indeed.

Fear? Atheism means to believe that there is not a god.

Don't fear the unknown. Just embrace it.

No, that would be theism. For millenia, mankind has used "God(s)" as a simple explanation for many otherwise inexplicable aspects of life and his surroundings. This is the means in which man has alleviated his fear of the unknown. Atheists on the other hand have come to accept that there are many questions than cannot be answered instead of fearfully "joining the herd" and praying they are right.

I have no fear of anything known or unknown - - never have, never will. Holies have doubts of which way they're going, I don't.
Why should anyone fear what will surely become of all of us ? Hundreds of years ago we were nothing, and we all will return to the same - - - nothingness.
All supernaturals are just stupid superstitions. We are all just natural beings - - - all living things.

I believe that atheism is fear of anything that "science" cannot prove. I guess that you could say it is fear of the unknown.... An Atheist wants to keep things simple (go along with their life and forget about God). Most Atheists don't want to face the reality that God is out there. However they want to think, He is there. He always has been and always will be. It makes me sad that so many people are Atheists.

No. It embraces the unknown, acknowledges it, and asks questions about it.
It's the opposite of religion, which exists because of fear and doesn't acknowledge that some things are unknown.

Religion is fear of the unknown. Atheism is confidence of the known!

How so? I know not everything has a concrete answer and part of life is striving to find those answers. We don't assign the unknown to a deity and let 'it' take care of all the unknowns in our lives.

Uh, no. It's exactly the opposite. It's being OK with the unknown. It's religious people whose beliefs are based on fear.
