To start with, when Jesus (God ) landed on the mountain and called Moses up everyone saw it for miles around. What Jesus did was never in the dark in regards to knowing what was going on, on the mountain.

It's not the number, it's the content of the commandments. The pastor would have to do something other than just climb a mountain to be believed, maybe defeat a great nation and be the conduit to part the seas. If he did some of these things I might have a tendency to believe him

If the mountain was shaking, and there were loud booming noises coming from it, and voices, and the pastor in question had just parted the Red Sea, killed off an entire army, brought down ten plagues, fed us manna in the desert, and made water come out of a rock ....
..then I would say yes.

"if"
here we go again.
Notice that there was only one episode of the burning bush?
Notice only one episode of Naaman washing seven times in the Jordan?
Notice only one instance of the ravens feeding a man?
God is limitless but He rarely repeats Himself to mankind.
If a pastor proclaimed the same trip as Moses (when the Bible says in Jeremiah that His laws would be written on our hearts), NO, I would not believe Him.
We already have the Ten Commandments and the Bible. We don't need another episode of Moutn Sinai.

No. If I went up a mountain and came down with 20 different ones "from God", would you believe me?

Of course we know you are talking about Moses and he wasn't a pastor. Anyways ita already been done, how could you believe someone if they said "I invented the light bulb" Today? No, cause its already been done. So that really isn't a question.

There weren't ten.
There were 613.
ten were just the foundation. Does the number help? You seem stumped by the 'ten' thing. (Not being a smarta*&! Really! But...why does ten bother you?)
Moses wasn't a pastor. He was a runaway prince.

Not if it was my pastor. He asked for prayers for a priest who got off on a technicality for abusing young boys.
