Some bandages have "no latex" on their boxes to lure buyers to pick that brand. Why is latex bad in bandages? Are cloth bandages better than plastic ones, or is plastic (but latex free) as good as cloth?

There's nothing wrong with latex. Some people develop allergies to latex, so they need alternatives.

Some people are allergic to latex. Their reaction is severe and the latex dust travels. Some hospitals don't allow any latex in the facility. Balloons, gloves, etc. Some reports state that people can become sensitive to latex when exposed over time.

The Latex in band-aids isn't necessarily bad - it just happens tho that some ppl like my mom are allergic to latex
And with any allergy u can have a reaction as mild as hives to as severe as asphyxia ( ah spelling) when your throat closes up!

As for the cloth versus plastic - its your personal preference
and it also depends on the location of your injury to whether your gonna be working out and sweating .... excetra

hope this helped!!

cause some people r severely allergic to latex. as for cloth vs latex, i say cloth is best cause plastic ones easily come off from sweat/water, while cloth does not. it is basically a personal choice though

Because some people are allergic to latex.

Latex allergies are usually pretty bad to deal with. I don't think there is any difference between using cloth bandages vs plastic.

Try covering it with a small piece of gauze, and use paper tape to adhere it. I am also allergic and have used Paper Tape for 5 years now, on my groin. You should be fine.
