They gave me a piece of paper what said i have to bring in all my driving docs within 7 days to a local police station. so then they gave me the paper and let me go. What do you think will happen if i go to the police station and tell them i didn't have a driving license or insurance. also the only reason i was driving is because i was practice how to park my car. also i have a friend in the car would this be better or worst.

hi there dylan, when i was 20 my boyfriend at the time brought a car (he only had a provisional). One day he let me drive (i only had a provisional) and i was pulled over by police i got a producer. I took my provisional and mot cert the police checked the car at the time an it had tax. My case was sent to court and i did not have to attend. I got 6 points (this goes onto your full license when you get one) and a £150 fine. Because the car was my boyfriends he got 6 points £250 fine and a 18 month ban for letting me drive his car.

6 months later i passed my test and because i had a in10 and a lc20 (driving with no license and no insurance) my car insurance was £1800 for a citreoan saxo. I then got a citreoan xsara and it went up to £2800.

Your points will stay on your license for 4 years, mine are now off (i am 25) and i drive a 1.6 vauxhall astra estate and its only £600 a year. It will come down but it takes time x

Okay, let's get this right. I take it you're in the UK, and that you have no licence at all. If that's the case, go to the police and admit it. If you don't, they'll find out anyway and you could be done for failing to produce in addition to what is coming your way.

I'm afraid you're going to be charged with the two offences and will have to go to court. That is going to result in a hefty fine and probably a large collection of points all ready to be added to your licence as and when you get one.

The suggestions about your mate having a licence for three years etc are a red herring. I just hope it wasn't his car and you are able to say that he had no idea you didn't have the necessary. If not, your friend too is in danger of being prosecuted for aiding and abetting in your offences.

Sorry to be hard, but there's no way out of this one, you've been caught.

Tell me you ad least had a learners permit, if not both you and your friend are in trouble if the car was his. You can look at your driving privileges being taken away for a few years, no insurance is a hefty fine. Does not matter why you where driving fact is you where driving illegally Count on not being able to get your license for quite a few years, and a few hundred dollars of fines to pay plus court costs.

You are in a little bit of trouble.
First you lied to police. Thats not the smatest thing to do. You havent got a licence so any points or disqualification you get will be put on any licence you get in the future.
Expect a massive fine or perhaps a suspended jail term.
Your friend might be in trouble as well because if he knew you didnt have a licence. Depends how the police see it.
Dont expect them to go easy on you though now that you lied to them.
Go in now, if you dont, it will only get worse.

If you leave it you will be summoned to court within 6 months whereupon you will also be charged for failing to produce too, obviously if you just go and admit this it will be over sooner it is six points for no insurance straight away plus a fine. GOOD LUCK.

If the friend hold a licence, and had done for 3 years or is over 21, then that should be ok. If not, then its probably really bad!
You are looking at court for driving without a licence and probably a ban for when you do get one!
I would just be honest....but, If the police didnt take your friends name etc, then I would find someone who looks similar, and has held a clean licence for 3 years and say it was them with you. But that will only really work if you hold a provisional!
Doesnt look good being asked for a producer. did you tell the officer that pulled you that you didnt have a licence? Please dont say you lied to them?!

if your friend was in the car and he has been driving for 3 years at least you were insured for the car and you had l plates on the car then you have nothing to worry about take in your documents like the asked they will caution you but you must go in one way or the other because if you don't there will be a warrant put out for your arrest not trying to scare you but that's what will happen

If you have a provisional license, and your friend has a full driving license and also if he has insurance, then I think you'll be ok. If however any of the above don't apply, I should think you will be banned from driving for a while.

Now i did my time and i laugh about it now that i look how stupid it was.. trust me it aint that bad.. they aren't gonna kill you.

Usually if you take your license and insurance into the police department they will let you off with a warning or a small fee---depends on the county/state you live in. But it is the law to have them with you at all times, at least remember you driver's license number--that helps too. good luck
