Are there any Protestants that married a Catholic and then converted to Catholicism?
Do you currently still attend the Catholic church? If you have children, how are you raising them?
What was most difficult for you? What was your most memorable experience or lesson? Do you have any regrets? What did you question most about the differences in beliefs and practices?

My boyfriend and I are of different faiths and this is something we’ve been discussing. Just curious about the thoughts of anyone who’s been there before.

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I think God is the foundation of everything, relationships too. I plan to teach my children about God so they can follow his footsteps too. I don't disagree that as they grow they won't question the teachings, and they have the right to do so.

This is not a debate of different religions of what I believe or you believe. I just want to know if anyone converted to their spouses religion or vice versa and how did that work out for you.

My wife was Roman Catholic and I was Protestant ( both brainwashed from birth ).

She is now Atheist and I'm Agnostic.

We have always thought differently but we complement each other and respect the others point of view.

No regrets, we have a very happy and fulfilling life together.

My girlfriend is druidic whereas i follow the egyptian deities.

To be honest, religion really holds no place in a relationship, if two people love one another, then they should see through and small problems such as difference in religion.

As for children, i don't personally believe it to be the parents choice what religion they belong to. If you try and force them they will only be more likely to back away when they can.

Children will take their own beliefs when they are ready to, be it atheism, paganism of christianity.

My parents are from different backgrounds. They did not enforce their religious up bringing on us or each other. They just respected the different holidays and took part in them. However, I don't think that religion plays a big role in their lives. I hope this helped.

My bf believes in god & I don't.
He never talks about god ever, but he absolutely hates organized religion.

I wouldn't even have known that he believed in god,
if I hadn't have said "bloody Jesus" in front of him.
Turns out he doesn't like it, he says I'm sick, lol.

Me and my wife were both xtian, I recently became an atheist though.

I did my best to convert her and she finally saw the flaws with christianity and converted too.

It was hard until the point where she agreed with me.
