exactly what is atheist? may sound stupid, but I am serious. is that not believing in god? serious only, no bible thumpers need respond

saying "not believing in god" presupposes that a god actually exists. Which seeing as how there is no actual evidence for a god is not a rational assumption

Basically you are correct.An atheist does not believe in god,any god christian,muslim or otherwise.
