Shy = pudibundus

You could also use 'verecundus', which is more like bashful, modest.

Those words are for masculine singular only.

Female = pudibunda, verecunda
Plural (all male or mixed) = pudibundi, verecundi
Plural, all female = pudibundae, verecundae.

I don't know the translation of shy but the Latin word for bashful is "vercundus"
