Diets where you lose huge amounts really quickly don't work because the minute you stop you put more weight back on because your bodys so used to the starvation it saves everything as fat incase it happens again. Trust me I've been there and I'm now losing it slowly!!! You need to lose it slowly to keep it off. But remember if you do weight training you'll put on muscle weight. Muscle weighs more than fat. You should maybe check your BMI to keep an eye on how you're doing.

why is 1-2lbs healthy to lose? because there is no chance you can lose more than that of fat a week - if you are losing more its just water weight and muscle which means you are slowing down your metabolism and will gain it back.
when you exceed 60min of cardio - you get the opposite effect of desired one
good luck with gaining fat!
