Well, that is a bit excessive, and this is coming from the person who takes the jar and a spoon and curls up on the couch. (I often do this on days when I realize that my protein and/or fat content has been low for the day. I'm pregnant and try to do everything within my power to give my baby what she needs.) I also eat the all-natural peanut butter. My husband likes the stuff with sugar in it, still, so it doesn't have to be stirred. I prefer both. However, he's the husband and since he technically pays the grocery bills (I'm a housewife), I compromise. It's no big deal.

I also use all natural fruit spread; The kind with just the fruit and the pectin. If I buy the Kroger brand on sale, or the larger jar at Trader Joe's, it's cheaper or as cheap, or at least a bit more, than the stuff contaminated with corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup.

Look at the bright side-- You have your protein for the day.

I hope it was organic, or that had a lot of trans fats in it. Very bad for the arteries.

That may have had 400-500 or more calories a TBL. I suggest you snack on carrots or celery the rest of the week, and take a few good walks.

When you put in on a spoon, try to picture it spread somewhere under your skin on you where you'd not wish to be fatter. Because that is what much of it will be doing in a day or so. Every spoonful.

Just cut back on your next meal. No big deal. Don't stress. This is a really good peanut butter and it’s so much better for you than the regular stuff. Smucker’s all natural. You do have to stir it because it doesn’t have the trans fat/fat as other pb’s. The taste is really good. Worth stirring. Read the back of the jar for nutrition facts- you’ll be impressed.

don't let this be an excuse to say to yourself "well i blew it, so i might as well eat some chocolate to go with it". get back on track, cut back on eating other things for the day. a big help for me that you could try: find a calorie-counter/log book on line to help you track your calories for the day. that way if you have 5 tbs of peanut butter you can budget it in to your total amount of calories. i don't know what you weigh, but my trainer had me eating 1400 calories a day when i was losing weight and inches. it doesn't sound like a lot, but i was acutally full. healthy choices of food, however! don't beat yourself up, just cut back a little bit today and start fresh tomorrow!

If it's the crappy, processed, skippy/jiff type peanut butter, you should not repeat the same mistake twice. You should also throw the rest of this jar out and get some natural peanut butter. Then when you overdo it, you will have consumed a reasonably healthy food that doesn't necessitate panic.

let's see...

1 tablespoon is 15 grams, grand total 75 gr.

100 gr of peanut butter are around 600 calories, so you've eaten 450-500 calories.

I'd say eat less for a couple of meals

:)

This is not a big deal. Just be careful of what you eat and make sure to add about an extra 10minutes to your workout for about a week or two. You'll be fine. It's okay to splurge every so often

RSJ, how do you know she had Smuckers all natural?
Sigh...I know the feeling.
Best thing to do is drink plenty of water, try to keep the rest of your meals lite today and fit in some exercise.
Don't let it ruin your mo titivation though, tomorrow is a new day.
