I've changed the time on Windows 6 minutes ahead because it was slow 2 times and it keeps reverting back 6 minutes to the original time it seems overnight. What would be causing this?

It could be going out and getting its time from an NTP server? Assuming the time on your Win2003 server is really wrong, then maybe there is something wrong with the off-set that is applied when it gets it's time from the NTP server?

Time syncing that happens periodically by the OS. You can change the settings for this is you so desire, but why would you want to? Make the auto time sync happen more often so that you have exact time, if you have a computer that can't keep accurate time.

Side note: I have never seen a computer lose that much time over a short period of time. Maybe you have a clock problem with the mainboard.

1. Double click on your clock at the bottom right of your screen

2. Click on the "Internet Time" tab

3. Uncheck "Automatically synchronize with an internet time server"

Problem should be solved

your cmos battery is going. see your manual for it's direct location, you'll need to replace it will remind you of a watch battery when you see it, but if it keeps reverting back to six minutes then it's probably as he stated above however if it keeps loosing time then battery for sure.
