Unless you're the Son of Sam, the Black Dahlia or a member of the Manson Family, you're going to heaven, so don't fret. Just be a good and decent person.

I am a christian and I don't believe that a child will go to hell because of something their parents did. When the Bible talks this I think it means every generation is affected by what the generations before them did in this life and sometimes parents can lead their children to make decisions in life that could lead to them going to hell, but I still believe in the end we all decide our own fate. It doesn't matter what our parents did. A child is not held accountable for their actions until they are able to know right from wrong.

No. You are all wrong. It doesn't matter if your parents are Christian or not, if you go to heaven or hell.
There is an age of accountablity. This is the age at which one would be accountable for themselves as accepting Jesus as their Savior. Now, of course, babies can't do that, so babies automatically go to heaven. All babies! Even young children will go to heaven. As far as the age, I'm not sure. According to Jewish traditions, the age of accountability is 13. However, I believe each one is different, and God decides who is accountable, and who isn't. God Bless

All children regardless of their parents faith or background are sanctified until the age of accountability. This comes to some quicker than others. Usually around puberty at which time the individual start making their own decisions. If you can decide to disobey you are old enough to make a choice of your direction in life. Not because you are mature just because you make a decision to decide for yourself .

There is no such thing. If you are old enough to understand that you are a sinner, that Christ died on the cross for your sins, you ask Him for forgiveness and live your life for him. Children as early as 4 years old are able to discern right from wrong, therefore they can discern sin. Matthew 19:13 and 14 talks about Jesus and little children. Verse 14 says "Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." This says little children, not 18 year olds. Heaven is not based on if your parents believe, it has to be your faith. Luke 18:16 and 17 says "But Jesus called the children to him and sais, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." We are to receive God like a little child, children are open and trusting, and they do not understand everything. However, they can still have faith and trust in Christ. Not through the parent.

The "age of accountability," I believe, is 12. In Israel, that was the age when a child's parents were no longer responsible for bringing atonement sacrifices to the Temple on behalf of a child; the child, at that age, became responsible for doing it himself. While we no longer are under the Law, with its ordinances and sacrifices, this is an indication of what God believes is the age when a person must shoulder the responsibility for his own sinfulness, and making things right with God.
Before this age, parents were expected to provide the sacrifices for their children.

Your reference is to the age of accountability which will vary from one person to another. Prior to reaching that age, children are in the arms of God in the event of their death. However, once having reached that age, it matters not what their parents say, do, or believe. They are then accountable before God.

Do you have this mixed up with the age of reason? which is supposed to be seven years old.
As for the rest, It is my belief I go to the father through His son Jesus, saved by amazing grace. Not by motal parents or any one else. I can't believe in a hell of fire for any one. Only hell I can believe in is seperation from God.

Your age and your parentage have little or nothing to do with whether you go to Heaven or to Hell. Your obedience to the commandments of Almighty God determine your eternal destiny.

Salvation is based on one's personal decision alone, not on the decision of one's parents.
Ezekiel 18:20 says "The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father's iniquity nor will the father bear the punishment for the son's iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous ill be upon himself and the wickednes of the wicked will be upon himself."
God will hold each person accountable for what they alone have done or not done, not on the basis of the actions and decisions of their parents.

thats not true, you do not go to heaven based on others beliefs. Its by your own beliefs. The “age of accountability” is a concept that teaches those who die before reaching the “age of accountability” are automatically saved, by God’s grace and mercy. The “age of accountability” is a belief that God saves all those who die before reaching the ability to make a decision for or against Christ. Thirteen is the most common number given for the age of accountability based on the Jewish custom that a child becomes an adult at the age of 13. However, the Bible gives no direct support to the age of 13 always being the age of accountability. It likely varies from child to child. A child has passed the age of accountability once he or she is capable of making a faith decision for or against Christ.
